NFL Week 3: What Everyone’s Talking About

Week 3 in the NFL once again showed why we love the game! Some shock results, an International banger and the Niners winning again (despite more injuries). And speaking of injuries, really sad to see De’Von Achane out for the season in the Dolphins loss to the Chiefs.

Ravens CLOSE Brazilian Shave

The Ravens came home from Brazil with the win after a tight game and a real tight finish. The Cowboys got to the Ravens 2 yard line with 20 seconds left but bottled it and ended up drawing level with a field goal.

Then up stepped Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers to link up for a 27 yard reception, leaving one second on the clock. A second was enough to sink a 56 yard field goal and grab the win. Rough for the Cowboys who looked much better in defence in week 3, even stopping the big man Derek Henry in the RedZone when it mattered.

Who Needs Caleb Williams?!

Wow, just wow. With Williams out injured it was surely going to be an Eagles win against Chicago. But then up steps 38 year old journeyman Case Keenum at QB to go for 247 yards and 2 passing TDs and destroy the Eagles 27-7. Wild and some serious issues in Philly!

Wait, are the Raiders actually good now?

The Raiders went 3 and 0 after beating the Saints 35-27 and the hype in Vegas is starting to build. Brock Bowers started his first game of the new season and looked a man possessed, returning 10 catches for 116 yards and a TD. Love seeing tight ends dominate in a game.

But surely we will know more after week 4 when they play the Chiefs.

Get last seasons Drake Maye back!

It’s been a horror start for last years Superbowl runner up QB with six interceptions thrown in the opening 3 weeks of the NFL. That’s compared to eight in the entire season last year. One killer game and hopefully Drake is back in a rhythm and the Patriots get moving again.

Rams still SuperBowl favourites?

The Rams were up 16-0 at half time and looking good value. But then it all went wrong with the Broncos putting up 16 points in the 3rd and getting over the line 30-26 in Denver thanks to a late Bo Nix TD. Crazy when Stafford threw for 403 yards and 2 passing TDs.

The Rams now start 1-2 and look a bit shaky early on. Great weekend for the Niners with Seahawks, Rams and Cardinals all getting big fat zeros.

Week 3 at a glance: The 49ers, Bills, Chiefs, Vikings and Raiders all moved to 3–0, while the Chargers, Texans, Dolphins, Titans and Buccaneers fell to 0–3
