There aren’t any teams based permanently in the UK. All 32 NFL teams are based in the US. However, a few NFL teams are specific links to the UK:

London’s Team

The Jacksonville Jaguars are regarded as London’s NFL team. They have played an NFL home game every season in London since 2013. The Jags owner Shahid Khan also owns Fulham FC.

NFL Global Markets Program

Through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, six specific teams have been granted official commercial rights to build fan bases, sell merchandise, and host youth academies directly in the United Kingdom:

• Jacksonville Jaguars
• Chicago Bears
• Miami Dolphins
• Minnesota Vikings
• New York Jets
• San Francisco 49er - also owned by Leeds United owners

The 2026 NFL season officially starts on Wednesday 9th September. But in the UK it’s the early hours of Thursday 10th September at 1-20am.

The opening game is a repeat of last year's Superbowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

The official time of an NFL game is 60 minutes which is split into four 15 minute quarters.

However, the average length of time to watch an NFL game is 3 hours and 12 minutes! Unbelievably the average length of time the ball is on the field and there is action is just 11-18 minutes!

The 2027 NFL Draft will take place from Thursday, April 29 to Saturday, May 1, 2027.

The league officially announced that the three-day event will be held in Washington, D.C., marking the first time the nation's capital has hosted the draft since 1941. Lets go!

There are 32 NFL teams in total. These are split into two conferences, the AFC and NFC. Each conference has four divisions called the East, West, North and South. For example, the 49ers are in the NFC West.
