What Time Does NFL RedZone Start in the UK? How to Watch in 2026
If you’re an NFL fan in the UK, NFL RedZone is one of the best ways to spend a Sunday evening. Think Match of the Day live with constant highlights as they happen around every game. Marvellous
Rather than choosing one game, RedZone jumps around the NFL as teams get close to scoring, bringing you touchdowns, big plays and the most important moments from across the Sunday games.
But what time does NFL RedZone start in the UK, and where can you watch it?
Here’s everything UK NFL fans need to know.
What Time Does NFL RedZone Start in the UK?
NFL RedZone starts at 6:00pm UK time on most Sundays during the regular season.
Coverage runs through the main Sunday games and late window, with Sky currently listing RedZone from 6pm until 1am on Sunday nights.
For UK fans, that means RedZone normally lines up perfectly with the first full slate of Sunday NFL games.
One thing to watch for is the clock change. Because the UK and United States change their clocks on different dates, NFL start times can temporarily move by an hour at certain points of the season.

Where Can I Watch NFL RedZone in the UK?
There are currently two main options for watching NFL RedZone in the UK.
🔵 NFL RedZone on Sky Sports
NFL RedZone is available through Sky Sports, with the NFL currently listing Sunday RedZone coverage on Sky Sports Mix.
Coverage begins at 6pm UK time and runs throughout the Sunday evening action.
Sky’s current NFL agreement also includes RedZone alongside its live Sunday games, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.
🏈 NFL RedZone on DAZN
NFL RedZone is also included with NFL Game Pass on DAZN in the UK.
NFL Game Pass provides access to RedZone alongside live and on-demand NFL games, NFL Network, replays and other NFL programming.
This can be particularly useful if you want broader NFL coverage rather than only the games selected for UK television.
What Is NFL RedZone?
If you’re completely new to the NFL, RedZone is essentially seven hours of near non-stop Sunday NFL action.
Instead of showing one complete game, RedZone moves between the Sunday fixtures as the action develops.
When a team gets close to scoring, RedZone takes you to that game. If several teams are threatening to score at once, the coverage can switch between games or show multiple games simultaneously.
That means you get a constant stream of:
- Touchdowns and scoring opportunities
- Big plays
- Turnovers
- Close finishes
- Important moments from around the league
For a new NFL fan who hasn’t picked a team yet, it’s also a brilliant way of getting to know the league quickly.

Why Is It Called NFL RedZone?
The red zone is the area between an opponent’s 20-yard line and the goal line.
Once an offence reaches this part of the field, there’s a much greater chance of a touchdown or field goal.
That’s the basic idea behind the programme: take viewers to the games where teams are closest to scoring.
Is NFL RedZone the Same as Watching a Full Game?
No. If you support one particular team and want to watch every snap, you’re usually better off watching that team’s full game.
RedZone is different. Think of it as watching the entire Sunday NFL slate at once.
It’s particularly good if you’re a neutral, following fantasy football, keeping an eye on several teams, or simply don’t want to miss the biggest plays of the evening.
Can I Watch NFL RedZone for Free in the UK?
RedZone itself is currently part of paid NFL viewing options such as Sky Sports and NFL Game Pass on DAZN. The NFL’s UK viewing information lists both as RedZone options.
However, UK viewers can still watch selected full NFL games free-to-air on 5 and 5ACTION during the 2026 season.
Check our NFL on TV UK page each week to see which games are being shown free.
Does NFL RedZone Show Every NFL Game?
RedZone covers the Sunday afternoon game windows rather than every NFL game played during the week.
So you won’t use RedZone to watch the complete Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football games.
Those are separate broadcasts. RedZone is designed around the busy Sunday slate when multiple NFL games are taking place simultaneously.
