All roads lead to the Rams this season according to the latest betting odds…but if you look at the odds this time last year, the two teams to make the Superbowl were 60/1 (Seahawks) and 80/1 (Patriots)! So whatever you do, don’t listen to the books!
We need to look at the teams making drastic changes and bolstering the ranks with experience at QB and rookie talent.
I’m not hanging my hat on this but I do think a solid underdog this year to get close to the Superbowl is the Las Vegas Raiders. Why you may ask?
- Solid offseason recruitment: Veteran Kirk Cousins at QB with cover in number 1 draft pick Fernando Mendoza
- Superbowl knowhow: Klint Kubiak joins as Head Coach knowing how to do it from last season at the Seahawks
- 6th round dark horse pick: Wide receiver Malik Benson could be in for a big season. Likely a number three starter but super fast and impressing in off season
- Grade “A” Centre: Tyler Linderbaum joins at centre in a $81m deal to bolster the offence dramatically and is the highest paid lineman in NFL history
At 150/1 it’s worth a tickle…
