Eagles vs Jaguars London 2026: Preview, Team News, Stats & UK Kick-Off Time
The NFL London Games continue this Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And on paper, this could be one of the best London matchups we’ve had for a while.
Jacksonville arrive in London at 3-1, while Philadelphia have slipped to 2-2 after back-to-back defeats. The Eagles’ latest loss came in painful fashion, surrendering a 10-point fourth-quarter lead against the LA Rams to lose 24-20.
For Jacksonville, it’s the beginning of a very familiar trip across the Atlantic. The Jaguars will remain in London for two consecutive games, facing Philadelphia at Tottenham before taking on the Houston Texans at Wembley a week later.

Latest Team News (Sat 10 Oct 2026):
Star running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) have both been ruled out, alongside receiver Marquise Brown (ankle), offensive lineman Drew Kendall (knee) and safety Marcus Epps (groin). Linebacker Jonathan Greenard (ankle) remains questionable, although there is better news for Philadelphia with tight end Dallas Goedert and linebacker Zack Baun cleared to return. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has also been cleared despite appearing on the injury report with a calf problem. With Barkley sidelined and Tank Bigsby on injured reserve, Will Shipley is expected to lead the Eagles’ rushing attack.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, have considerably fewer injury concerns, with cornerback Jaylon Jones (hamstring) ruled out and safety Eric Murray (concussion) doubtful.
Jacksonville Arrive in London Flying
The Jaguars have made an excellent start. After four games, Jacksonville sit at 3-1, including a 22-17 victory over Cincinnati in Week 4. More impressive than the record has been the balance between offence and defence.
Through four games:
26.0 points scored per game
13.3 points allowed per game
8 takeaways
9 sacks
Jacksonville’s defence has been particularly opportunistic, already producing eight takeaways compared with only two for Philadelphia. That’s a pretty significant difference heading into Sunday’s game.
Eagles Arrive With Questions to Answer
Philadelphia’s season has moved in the opposite direction.
After starting 2-0, the Eagles have now lost consecutive games to the Bears and Rams and head to London at 2-2. The biggest concern is the offence.
Philadelphia is averaging only:
18.8 points per game
269.8 total yards per game
160.8 passing yards per game
Compare that with Jacksonville’s 26 points per game, and it’s the Jaguars who arrive with the much healthier-looking attack.
Player to Watch: Trevor Lawrence
Trevor Lawrence enters London with:
843 passing yards | 8 TD | 2 INT
Lawrence has helped Jacksonville to three wins from its opening four games and now returns to a city that has almost become a second home for the Jaguars franchise.
And he’ll face an Eagles defence allowing 23.3 points per game. If Lawrence protects the football and Jacksonville’s defence continues creating turnovers, this could become a difficult afternoon for Philadelphia.
Jalen Hurts Needs a Response
On the other side, there’s going to be plenty of attention on Jalen Hurts. Hurts has thrown for:
713 yards | 7 TD | 3 INT
But Philadelphia’s passing game has struggled to generate consistent yardage, and things got particularly ugly against the Rams.
Hurts completed only 12 of 27 passes for 93 yards in the Week 4 defeat, although he did throw two touchdowns. That makes his matchup with Jacksonville’s defence one of the biggest battles of the game.
UK Rookie Stat: Jacksonville’s Defence
Jacksonville: 13.3 points allowed per game
Philadelphia: 23.3 points allowed per game
Jacksonville have conceded almost exactly 10 fewer points per game than Philadelphia through four weeks.
The Jaguars have also generated nine sacks and eight takeaways.
Philadelphia?
Just four sacks and two takeaways. For all the attention Lawrence and Hurts will get, Jacksonville’s defence could decide this one.
UK Rookie Stat: Protect Jalen Hurts
12 sacks. Wow. That’s how many times Philadelphia have allowed their quarterback to be brought down through four games.
Jacksonville have allowed only eight sacks while their defence has recorded nine of its own.
If the Jaguars can get consistent pressure on Hurts without having to send additional defenders, it could make life extremely difficult for the Eagles offence.
UK Rookie Stat: London’s Team?
It’s impossible to talk about this game without Jacksonville’s extraordinary relationship with London. This will be the Jaguars’ 15th London game, having gone 7-7 across their previous 14 appearances.
And they aren’t going home afterwards.
Jacksonville face Philadelphia at Tottenham this Sunday before switching across London to Wembley to face Houston on 18 October. It will be the third time the Jaguars have played consecutive games at Tottenham and Wembley.
Philadelphia’s London history is considerably shorter.
Their only previous regular-season London appearance came against — appropriately enough — Jacksonville in 2018.
The Eagles won that game 24-18 at Wembley. Philadelphia also beat Jacksonville 28-23 when the teams last met in 2024 and have won the last five meetings between the franchises. Maybe that will get in the Jags head?
Three Stats to Know
10: Jacksonville are allowing roughly 10 fewer points per game than Philadelphia
8 vs 2: Jacksonville have eight defensive takeaways; Philadelphia have two
5: Philadelphia have won the last five meetings between the two teams
Another Reason to Get There Early
There’s a bit more than football happening at Tottenham this Sunday.
Ayra Starr will headline the game’s halftime show, becoming the featured performer for the second London game of the 2026 series.
The NFL recommends arriving early: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opens two hours before kick-off, with fans advised to be in their seats around 30 minutes before the game for the pre-match activities.
Verdict
This one looked like it might favour Philadelphia when the schedule was first released, but four weeks into the season I’m not so sure.
Jacksonville arrive 3-1, they’re scoring more points, conceding considerably fewer, creating more turnovers and getting more pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Philadelphia still have enough quality to turn things around, and five consecutive victories over Jacksonville shouldn’t be ignored. But the Jaguars look like the more complete team heading into London. I also don’t like the fact the Eagles have injuries in Offence, especially with star running back Barkley being forced off again on Sunday and not looking fit enough yet.
I’m taking Jacksonville to make their London experience count and move to 4-1.
Jaguars win. Let’s go!
